Why is this funny?
Because in essence, a "click-through" places money in the pocket of the pay-per-click search engine — only a "conversion" like a sale or sales lead creates money for the marketer.
Under a practical perspective, a "click-through rate" is the percentage of times your "FREE LISTING" (called an "impression") is clicked on to generate a "PAID" visitor. Until your website conversion strategies "convert" the PAID visitor into a valued action, the visitor is an expense.

Although RSS and blogs are slowly reaching mainstream, they are still missuderstood by most marketers in relation to eachother and in relation to their relatives, e-zines and e-mail. How do these four really relate and what does this mean for your internet marketing strategy?
The most common missconception is comparing blogs and e-mail, with many bloggers actually touting blogs as a replacement for e-mail. The truth is, there’s no comparison at all, just like comparing apples and oranges.

A Blog Is The Best Tool To Boost The Page Rank Of The Site
by: Prabhjot Kaur
A blog is the best means to enhance the site’s page rank. It has many valid reasons. Those reasons seem to be the basic ones but generally we ignore those points. The very first cause of the enhancement of the sites Pagerank is that a blog can easily be added to an existing website. Many off-the-shelf blogging tools can be imported directly to your site. These tools can be easily modified according to the requirement of the site. A blog of the site can be set up as a free site also.
The second and the very valid reason is that a blog needs the updates frequently and these updates give the blog a fresh and the new content for the site and this attracts the natural and the unreciprocated linkers towards the site. They bring valuable Page Rank transfer, along with fresh visitor traffic.
Now the question is how should the content be? The content of the site should be sufficiently attention grabbing and informative. Then there are the possibilities of two types of blog links. One are the home page permanent link. The other is the themed link from a blog post. That themed link will slide off the home page, but will bring Page Rank from an internal page. Bloggers routinely read other blogs and link to their selected posts, passing along valuable PageRank as a matter of course.
Now it seems that google has a thought to be give liability to the reciprocal links on many static websites, especially link exchange pages. On blogs, that accountability does not appear to be evident. Because blog links are heavily reciprocated, any penalties would show up quickly in a reduction of blog backlinks. That does not appear to be the case. Whenever we see the back links of the site we can see many of the reciprocal links. That’s why blog is the best method to place on a site.
A quick glance at any number of blog backlinks will display many reciprocated links. One reason for that may be the fact that blog links are almost universally placed on the home page. Another is bloggers; in general, make link trades with other bloggers who write about the same theme. The on page text usually contains similar content, and often the same keywords, in both exchanging blogs.
The blog section of your website will add PageRank very quickly, often achieving a PR4 or PR5 within only a couple of months of existence. You can link that page, to any pages of your existing website, and provide that page with a PageRank boost. This is especially helpful if you are in a highly competitive keyword area.

The most successful advertising is obviously expensive. There are ways of free advertising that over time will work out to be just as profitable for you.
Everybody, at some point, has brought a product over the internet. If you like the product then write a testimonial for the business you brought it from. Say how much you like the product and how it benefited you and let the business use your testimonial if they include your signature file at the end.

Press Releases - Helping Raise Business
by: Allen Brown
It has been noticed that businesses, whether small or big, puts in huge amounts trying to find ways to get best publicity for their organization and its achievements. Publicity is nowadays widely considered in company’s budgets to enhance profits.
Reaching to your customers has become more essential, and intricate. There are many methods available on net to publicize and market your business, but one of the cheapest methods is to use online press release websites, as many of these offers free of cost or low-cost PR options.
With online press release one can simply reach the targeted online community. PR web-sites offers article submission database of free content and reprint articles. Publishers, who are in quest of free reprint articles and the business community, who wants to shoot their business, make the best use of this significant resource to enhance their marketing weapon.
Here are ten effectual tips to write well drafted press release.
1. Starting should be solid: Your title and initial lines should cover, what you want to convey. The remaining part of your press release should depict the detailed information.
2. Draft it for journalists & media agencies: The journalists receive thousand of press releases on daily basis. The media agencies and journalists would grab your press release and only if, with slight editing or no alteration.
3. Consider addressee’s Interest: The audience’s interest consideration is most important to be keeping in mind that if you were a part of audience, would you be interested like to read the press release, you have written.
4. Make it appear practical: Point out real facts of your company or organization, as people are also intellectual enough to make out what is true and what is not? Present information on product and services in what they are interested.
5. Tie the story with real facts: Don’t put bluff and add-ons. If you find the content using much added extras, make it natural and real. If content seems too good to be true, turn down the tone little, as it may possibly hurt your own credibility.
6. Use only necessary words: Don’t use extra adjectives, extravagant language, or unnecessary expressions like “The most powerful”. Describe your story with lesser words, as verbosity distracts from your content.
7. Avoid using jargon: Limited use of jargon could be allowed, if you aim to optimize news release for search engines. The finest technique to communicate your press release is to speak neatly, using regular language.
8. Avoid exclamation: The use of exclamation point (!) may hurt your press release. But, if you have to use an exclamation point, use only one.
9. Company permit: Companies are very defensive about their name and credibility. Get written permission before putting in an information or quotes from officials or associates of other companies/organizations.
10. Company Information: The press release should conclude with a short description of your company, which illustrates your company, products, service and a brief history of company. But if you are making a combined press release of two or more then two then you should, provide information of all the companies.
Writing quality press releases is a process that requires immense skill and experience, as every single word of a press release may be examined. This is why many companies hire public relation firms for official press releases and other media contacts.
Inaccurate or poorly drafted information in an official press release can be a point to slicing a company or organization’s credit.

by: Cory Threlfall
I have two quick and important questions to ask you before we continue that will only take a few seconds to answer.
First, do you have a online business that you just finished setting up that has an affiliate program and are looking for ways to give it a Jump-Start with NO advertising budget?
My next question is… would you like to get your Product or Service infront of thousands of targeted customers within a matter of hours at absolutely NO cost that are hungry for what you have to offer and are willing to wip out their credits cards for?
If you answered ‘YES’ to either of these questions then your in luck.

Because ‘Joint Ventures’ will do just that.
But, let me first explain to you what a Joint Venture is and what there advantages and disadvantages are before you get to excited.
There are always Pro’s and Con’s to everything so I think it’s best you hear both.
First, let me define a Joint Venture. If you already know what a Joint Venture is, read it anyway. A Joint Venture is simply an collaboration or partnership undertaken by two or more entities(webmasters) for a mutual gain, usually profit sharing.
That’s as simple as it gets.
And what makes Joint Ventures SO powerful you ask?
The answers simple. They allow you to leverage other peoples web assets(ex. Opt-In Lists and/or High Traffic Websites).
This is why Joint Ventures are such a great way to Jump-Start your online business, especially if you have a affiliate program in place.
Now your probably thinking, who makes the BEST Joint Venture partners?
Here’s two simple answers - Newsletter owners and Website owners related the your Niche market.
Okay, those were the Pro’s, now for the Con’s.
The con’s are… Locating them and Approaching them with an offer and getting them to accept.
That’s it.
But, this can be quite the daunting task for someone new to Joint Ventures since the Internet is such a BIG space. Notice I said “space”. That’s why I wrote a Free *16* page special report just on this topic to give those just starting out some insight into Joint Venture marketing and its many benefits and at the same time take away alot of the guess work involved.
You can find out more about my special report and what you’ll find inside through the link below ==>

Lets face it, we all only have so much time in a day to get things done, so the more you know, the better off you’ll be to getting the results you want to obtain through Joint Venture marketing.
So, before I end this article I’ll leave you with some quick references for you to start with on where to find some responsive Joint Venture partners.
First, start with the Search Engines. Use the keywords that target your Product or Service. You’ll then get a list of results. Now simply click through the links you think would make good potential JV partners.
(TIP: Just focus on the first 2-3 pages of results, then move on using a different keyword)
If you like what you see simply contact them by locating their contact information from their website.(That’s were your approach comes into play. VERY Important!)
Other places to find them would be Forums, Newsgroups, Newsletter Directories and Membership sites like the JV-Network at ==>
