You may be hiding if the search engines can’t ’see’ all of your site’s relevant content.

You’ve invested a great deal of time and effort carefully crafting compelling, helpful website content for prospective customers. It’s well written and contains the appropriate keyword phrases that prospects will likely use when searching for this type of information on the Internet.

Why Does The Link Page Have A PR Zero?

For beginners, link exchange campaigns can be a minefield of problems. For example, here is a question I was asked:

“Hi Andy, I have noticed that a lot of sites that request a link exchange from me may have a PR 5 or 6 on their home page and when I click through to the links page there is a PR 0. This is very disappointing and I don’t exchange with them. Should I reconsider this practice or am I right in thinking they are doing something to prevent PR from passing to their links pages? Best Regards, Troy”

Getting Traffic To Your Website Is Easy Right? Content, Content, Content!

Getting Traffic To Your Website Is Easy Right? Content, Content, Content!

 by: Matt O’Connor

OK, so you’ve probably seen headlines like that before, you’ve probably even read articles that promise to give you the secrets to creating floods of traffic for your site.

Well I’m going to give you the fool-proof plan for creating a site that sticks.

One that attracts swathes of visitors and one that, crucially, people will return to time and again.

Why are so many people struggling to attain good numbers of traffic to their site?

The simple answer is they’re not sticking with the PLAN!

Here’s a simple guide to endless, free traffic to your website, no matter what the topic or niche.

1. Do Your Research - before you even put up a webpage; gather a large list of keywords on your chosen niche - next write an article on each keyword (preferably around 500 words long) or even better get someone else to write it for you!

2. Get A Domain Name - don’t use keyword domains, these were fashionable for a while but it’s better to give your site some type of branding (i.e. Overture).

3. Make Your Site Swift & Neat - sounds obvious but the simple the better, the longer the loading time, the more likely your visitor will be inclined to click away.

4. Add One Page Of Content Per Day - and make sure it’s ORIGINAL CONTENT! But more than that, make sure it’s enjoyable to read and informative, write in a way that enlightens the reader while at the same time putting some of your personality into the text. After all, it’s your personality (be it in the design as well as the content of the site) that will separate your site from a hundred other identikit sites. Be different and you will be successful.

5. Cross Link Within Your Site - make sure you link to other pages within your site that are relevant to each other. This spreads out the value of your site rather than having merely one high-ranking page.

6. Submit & Forget - submit once to the search engines - Google, Teoma etc. then forget about it!

7. Get Those Links - try and swap a handful of links to your site each week. Also list your site in numerous directories.

8. Submit Articles - and don’t forget your web address in the author’s box. This helps to get your site name strewn across the net in places you simply wouldn’t have thought of before.

9. Keep Adding That Content - remember one page a day. And make it your own!

10. Move On To Your Next Site - Keep working on your old site but all the while start thinking about and planning your next one. Get a handful of sites each bringing in a few dollars a day and before you know it it’s goodbye to the 9 to 5.

So that’s a pretty brief overview but I guarantee it works.

It’s entirely possible to concentrate on building, say, 30 sites with the method above.

Add affiliate links and adsense blocks and you will have a very profitable income stream.

Work on each of your sites (assuming you’ve worked towards your goal of 30) 1 day per month.

In a year’s time you could have added thousands of dollars per year to your income.

And it’s all thanks to that brand new, sparkling content that you enjoy writing so much, right?

How To See What Pages Of Your Site Google Has In Its Index

There is a lag time between the indexing or updating of your site, and the time it takes to show new results in the database. Depending on your site, where it was linked from, who it was linked from, and who knows what other factors, the amount of time varies.

With the method I teach in my book it seems to take two to four days on average for the Googlebot to stop by initially, and then another two days to one week to appear in search listings for the first listing.

Make Your Articles Work Harder For You

Make Your Articles Work Harder For You

 by: Susane B. Myers

You probably already know how effective article marketing can be to drive traffic to your site and to improve your search engine rankings. You spend some time each month or even each week to write and submit articles. Now you can make them work even harder for you by reusing them. Here are a few ideas to get you started.

Start out by combining several related articles into a free report. You can make this report available to your visitors and invite them to pass it on to friends and family. Of course you will have your resource box and several links to your site within the report. This can bring you a lot of traffic as the report is passed on from person to person.

You can also mention a free e-course within your report and create an e-course that expands on the idea you discussed in the free report or build the e-course around a related topic. Load your e-course into an auto-responder and start building your subscriber list.

You are creating a valuable list of people that you can keep coming back to your site. You can also sell your own products and affiliate products to the people on this list.

Take all the content you have compiled in your report and your e-course. Add some worksheets and flesh it out with some additional examples, tips and idea. Write an introduction to the topic and add a table of content. You know have an e-book that you can sell.

Take the content from your e-book and teach a teleclass on the subject. This could be either a free teleclass or teleseminar, or a paid one. Make sure you record the seminar. You can combine your e-book along with the recording of the teleseminar, a transcript of the call and a workbook. You know have a multi-media e-course that you can sell as well.

The basic idea is to reuse your content as many times and in as many ways as possible to make the most out of the time you spend writing articles. It all starts with writing a few related articles.

Simple Steps To Plan Your Business For Success

Simple Steps To Plan Your Business For Success

 by: Tina Valiedi

Planning your business is the critical starting point. You need to map out your business. Where do you plan on going with your business? What steps are you going to take to get there? How are you going to market your business. All of these questions should be answered in your business plan.

Some people are excellent at planning. Others are not. The problem is, we were never taught how to plan in school. So how do you begin planning? It’s an acquired skill, it won’t appear over night.

The first step to becoming a successful planner in learning your personality type. Once you learn who you are, you can learn to plan according to you personality type.”Personality Plus: How to Understand your Personaltiy” by Florence Littauer, is an excellent book on learning about your personality type. It is easy to read and comes with a personality profile test.

Don’t worry if you feel like you’re not making any progress. Learning a new skill, especially planning, takes time to learn. Be patience and persistent. Start your in planning in baby steps.

Let’s begin by learning to plan out sales calls.

First, how many sales appointments do you want or need for the month? Let’s say, you need 10 appointments each month. If the an appointment is about 2 hours long, you will need 20 hours total for the entire month. Take out your monthly calendar and mark of 20 hours.

Now lets take a step back. What did you do to get those appointments? You made phone calls. You need about 20 phone calls before you got those 10 appointments. How long were you on the phone, about 15 minutes. Now block off that time on your calendar.

Before you start making phone calls. Put a list of your contacts together. Have there name, address, phone number, even secretaries names if needed. To help you make those calls, write a sales script. Use the script as a reminder.

This is the beginning steps of planning your business. You can use this formula for almost every project.

Im Talking, But is Anyone Listening?

Internet marketing is a wonderful thing, but it has it’s drawbacks. For instance, if you own a brick and mortar store you have a *physical* presence that gets noticed. Customers will find you purely by chance by walking or driving down the street where your store is located. If they didn’t know you existed before, they do now.
