Search engines love content. Graphics may make your site look great, but a nice picture does not attract a search engine. Or a searcher for that matter. Good, relevant content does.
Search engines aren’t all that different from people. When faced with a ton of choices, they want to know which sites are the best. And, the best sites are the ones that give the most accurate and relevant information.
Good content serves three main purposes:

SEO- a Part Of Internet Marketing Strategy
by: Prabhjot Kaur
SEO is not the be all and end all - it is just one part of your Internet Marketing strategy. According to Brand Week Online Magazine: “Search engine positioning may be just one part of an online marketing strategy, but it is the fundamental part. It’s the baseline.”
It is found that Search Engine Effectiveness report on the brand lift from textual paid search results, found that high search engine listings drive the highest awareness or branding for a website. Consumers recall websites 60% of the time from search engine listings numbers 1-3, and only 20% for banner ads and tiles.
For years companies have identified audiences and target markets, crafted messages and used mass media to deliver those messages in the hope that the right person will read them and respond. Now we have people searching on the Internet for products, services and information. They are actively online looking for what they need and want.
When the keywords are tapped relevant to our industry and find the viable pockets of search that will lead qualified, interested people to your website, then also it is necessary to optimize the site because if you are not in those search results, your competitors will be.
Content will always be king - people go to a website for the content. A site has to be usable and interesting and it has to meet the expectations of the searcher. But it has to be found first. There has to be a balance between visibility and usability.
It’s a two edged sword if your site is never found. You could have the most perfect website, but no one will ever see it. And if you are ranked number one on all search engines on all your major keywords and phrases, but when the visitor gets to your site there is no relevant and useful content that will deliver what they were online searching for in the first place, what’s the point? They will be gone in two seconds.
Being visible and being usable are not mutually exclusive they are joined at the hip. Using SEO as part of overall brand and Internet marketing strategy positions the industry at the higher rankings.

5 Secret Tips to Effective Pay Per Click Advertising
by: Jan Peterson
Yes, pay per click advertising will cost you but if you do it right, it should make you money. If you are running pay per click advertising campaign and more money is going out than coming in, something is not right. Here are 5 steps to targeting the right keywords and minimizing costs.
Are your keywords too broad?
Let’s just say you have developed an amazing diet drink that is safe, effective, tasty and will guarantee that people will lose 15 lbs in 30 days. You know you have a product that is a winner and are excited about marketing it on the World Wide Web. However, you are relatively new to the Web and pick keywords that are too general and expensive like ‘dieting’ or ‘weight loss’. Not only are you perhaps disappointed by your PPC advertising results but it will likely be draining your bank account. This is why niche keywords are so important. Look at bidding on keywords such as ‘weight loss supplement’ or ‘weight loss drink’. Go to Overture or Word Tracker and find keywords that are more niche oriented and not so competitive.
Is your ad dull or attention getting?
It is worthwhile to spend some time learning about effective copy writing. It could be the difference between mediocrity and success. You want to know how to get someone’s attention. Unfortunately saying “I have the best diet drink on the planet” doesn’t work. You have to motivate and inspire people to take their time to look at what you have to offer. And, in pay per click advertising you have to do it in very few words. This can be a challenge. Learn the words that sell or attract or grab someone’s attention like “Must see”, “Quick results”, “New”, “The truth”, “Groundbreaking”, “Instant”
Double Check your URL!
Sounds like a no-brainer but many times people either misspell their URL or send someone to their home page instead of the page that directly relates to their question. In other words, you may have a website that is dedicated to weight loss but in your pay per click advertising, you want to direct them specifically to your diet drink. So, you would want your URL to read http://www.myweightlosssite.com/dietdrink.html. There is nothing more frustrating to the website visitor than having to go hunting for the information. Your job is to make it easy to find and informative. If they have to look long, they will leave. These are dollars lost to you.
What is your competition doing?
It is likely that your competitors who have a high PR (page rank) and continue to advertise, are doing something right. Learn from those who are successful. While the differences may seem subtle to you, in the World of PPC advertising a word or sentence can discourage or invite a potential website visitor.
What should my title be for my PPC ad ?
Plain and simple use the keyword that is being searched on. Don’t get fancy or creative here. If someone is looking for diet drink then your ad title is ‘diet drink’. Give the website visitor what they want.
The bidding war is on
Try your best not to get caught in the bidding war game. There are plenty of ways to drive traffic to your site without spending a fortune. General keywords will always have high prices like ‘dieting.’ Don’t fall for the trap. Most refined keywords will have lower priced bids but are excellent because they will target your traffic. A Website visitor may only be looking for diet recipes and dislike diet drinks. They are not your customer. Same for the website visitor who may want to tone-up while they are dieting. The more specific you can target your market, the better you will do.
Two other tips: If all the bids are around 25 cents and the lead bid is at $5.00, you know someone is trying to own the number 1 position. If you want to have fun bid $4.99 and they will get nailed $5.00 for every click and you will only pay 26 cents if they click on your ad. Warning though: if you want to play this game, keep an eye out so they don’t drop their bid. I sometimes do this as a temporary measure to bring someone back to fair playing grounds.
Secondly, keep any eye on all of your bids. People do change what they are willing to bid on any given keyword or search term. I do an overview every few days.
The test results are back
One last key to good pay per click advertising is testing your ads. You can set up two different campaigns and rotate them for the same period of time. What you might learn could surprise you and benefit your bank account!

10 Steps to Writing an Effective Thank You Letter
by: Robert Moment
The interview was fantastic; you know that you impressed with your perfect answers and excellent resume. You also know that, from this point on, you just have to sit back and wait for the telephone to ring with your future employer on the line, begging you to come to work. You know this, right? Very wrong. No matter how wonderful the interview or great the resume, you can never be sure that you will get the job of your dreams—-anything can happen. However, one way to help shift the odds in your favor is to write a Thank You Letter. This courtesy is often ignored by job candidates; so, if you take time, future employers are likely to take notice. An effective Thank You Letter can push you closer toward your career goal. The Thank You Letter should always sell your skills and how they will help your future employer.
To write the proper Thank You Letter, follow these simple but effective tips:
1. Keep It Short
A typical Thank You Letter is one page in length; this allows you to make your point without going on too long. Remember that most employers do not have the time to read page after page of gratitude. Show that you understand by keeping your letter short. You show courtesy in two ways.
2. Refresh Their Memory
Refer to specific pieces of information discussed in your interview—this shows that you paid attention and can remember detail. By doing this, you can remind the employer why you are best for the job.
3. Send It Off
After your interview, begin writing your Thank You Letter. Do not wait; the employer should receive your letter within 48 hours. This shows proper respect. If too much time passes, a letter is not likely to help you. Your potential boss will probably forget you.
4. Be Professional
Your letter should be typed on plain, white paper. Do not use items like colored paper or special bonded paper. Do not send your letter through email or handwrite it. That shows a lack of respect.
5. Emphasize Everything
In your letter, be sure to reemphasize your qualifications and experiences. Remind the employers of why you truly are the best person for this position. A Thank You Letter can serve to alleviate any doubts he/she had of you during your interview if you stress your best qualities.
6. Extra Information
Make sure to save room in your letter for extra information that you may have forgotten to mention during your interview, or that the employer did not ask for. This can help reinforce you in their minds.
7. Be Original
Do not simply copy an example of a Thank You Letter and fill in the blanks; your letter must be of your own design. Otherwise, you can come across as unwilling to put effort into your projects.
8. Encourage Contact
Give your pertinent information (Email, Home Phone, Cell Phone, etc.). This will allow the employer to decide whether he/she wants to contact you or not—-you give them the chance. If you do not put your information in the letter, you may very well miss an opportunity.
9. Proofread
While an employer will appreciate a Thank You Letter, he/she will not appreciate one with spelling or grammar mistakes. Before you send your letter, proofread it; and, once you have read and reread, allow someone else to do the same.
10. Close With Gratitude
Without sounding overly dramatic, make sure that you thank the employer for taking the time to interview you. Thank them in your own way.
By following these steps, you can impress your future employer and give yourself the edge against other candidates. A simple courtesy could become the deciding factor of getting that perfect job.

Your list is your life. If you do not have a list of customers and prospects, you may do okay in your business but you won’t be great. The one and only thing that separates great marketers from okay marketers is the effort great marketers put into building their list of prospects and customers.
Say you sell an ebook on internet business. If it sells for $27 you make a nice profit. But if you don’t collect customer and prospect emails, $27 is all you will ever make.
