Many business owners and online marketing experts focus their efforts on search engine optimisation and ensuring high search engine placement for a website. Although search engines should play a crucial part in any online marketing campaign they are but one element to that equation.
Although they are unlikely to send as much traffic to your website as search engines, directories are an essential online resource that need to be considered when developing your online marketing plan.

The Cheapest Traffic Generation Method In The World Yet Over 90% Of Marketers Ignore It. Why?
by: Ben Shaffer
Did you know you are able to create an additional income stream using your existing Google Adsense account, a simple website and a few brief articles? You can use free article repositories to produce healthy profits if you have the right strategy and use the proper tools. It’s a great opportunity that requires little ongoing effort, creating a passive source of income.
The basic strategy can be outlined like this: One writes articles on subjects related to a high-paying keyword. These articles are then submitted to a series of article repositories where they can be found by surfers and picked up by other webmasters for use on their sites. Included with the article is a “resource box” that includes some biographical information about the author and a link to the author’s site. That site will contain additional information about the same subject matter and will feature Adsense ad blocks that will display ads related to the high-paying keyword. Each time a visitor comes from your article to the designated page, they may click on at least one of those ads, creating immediate profits for the article author.
The reason this technique holds so much promise is the viral nature of the free articles. These article sites are frequented by scores of webmasters who are looking for good content to use on their sites. In exchange for the free content, they agree to provide a link back to the author. Each article might find itself popping up on a series of sites. By placing an article in a free article repository, it can achieve remarkable exposure quickly. Content is king, they say, and webmasters are always searching for articles on hot topics.
In addition to the viral exposure, surfers may also directly find the articles interested in the subject matter. You can consider the article repository sites as remote hosts for your content, as each article does contain that important link back to your site.
When people click your link, they will be delivered to your site that covers the same topic area. Your page will be designed primarily as a means of providing some additional subject matter information and will feature Adsense ads. This topic area is carefully selected in order produce maximum value from every eventual Adsense click.
Basically, those adopting this strategy are putting the market’s unquenchable thirst for content to use as a marketing tool for a site monetized with Adsense ads. The results can be stunning.
Imagine, for a moment, that you have produced two articles on a keyword that is generating a very healthy ten dollars per click on relevant Adsense ads. The two articles are submitted to ten different article directories. Within a short period of time, it is not unthinkable that the articles will end up appearing on well over a hundred different sites. Additionally, you are likely to learn that information-hungry surfers are discovering the articles on the repository site itself. You have successfully managed to “advertise” on all of those sites simply by producing two articles.
Now, let’s say that from all of the people visiting your site from the link embedded in your articles’ resourced boxes, only one person a day actually clicks on an Adsense ad. This, obviously, is a pretty conservative estimate. Still, if you average only one click per day on a ten-dollar ad, you will generate around three hundred dollars per month. That’s three hundred dollars in exchange for producing and distributing only two articles.
Consider what would happen if you tackled five different hot keywords each month using this strategy? Suddenly, you would be generating over one thousand five hundred dollars per month in exchange for pretty minimal efforts. It’s a strategy that can be multiplied again and again. If you start thinking about what happens if you can manage a few extra clicks each day, the possibilities are truly staggering.
Just thinking about the profit potential of this strategy probably has you ready to begin your article-based Adsense campaign immediately. However, there is a way to make it even more successful. The hypothetical scenario we outlined is based on fairly limited distribution of your articles. Imagine what might happen if you were able to submit your article to hundreds of locations instead of just a few. The potential financial gains are multiplied!
The idea of submitting your articles to hundreds of locations might seem cumbersome and time-consuming. If you were to manually submit your articles to all of the available article repositories, it would take so much time you would not have a chance to do anything else. Luckily, the smart article-based marketer can add a tool to his or her arsenal that will make submitting articles to a wide array of locations efficient and easy.
Software packages are available that will allow you to submit your articles to all of the field’s major players with just a few keystrokes and mouse clicks. Article Submitter Pro available from http://www.article-submitterpro.com is one such package. Article Submitter Pro automates the article submission process and will send your articles to over two hundred different locations. It’s a lightweight and easy-to-use program that gets truly amazing submission results. Anyone serious about using article marketing as a means to awesome Adsense profits should consider finding an automation tool in order to get their articles distributed as widely and quickly as possible.
The best part of all of this is that once the initial work is done, the income is continually produced without additional efforts. After construction of the original site, production of a few articles (and, of course, you can do more articles if you’d like in order to improve the number of visitors to your site), and distribution of the articles, there is no requirement for additional work. Your site will continue to earn money on a regular basis without any additional effort. It truly is a passive income stream

Introduction
The Google Sandbox is a metaphorical term to explain why most new websites have very poor rankings in Google Search Engine Results Pages (SERPS). Very few people know for sure if the ’sandbox’ actually exists, but it seems to be a filter added to the Google algorithms sometime around March 2004.

Writing and distributing articles is fast becoming a popular method of website promotion.
However, if your articles are not high-quality, you defeat the whole purpose of using articles for promotion. Web publishers are looking for quality information to offer their visitors and subscribers.

Can an SEO Company Guarantee Top 10 Search Results?
by: Jamey Perkins
Can a person guarantee you that if you go to Vegas next year, you will hit it big? If they can, can I have their phone number? The real answer is no way. There are a whole lot of SEO companies out there that claim to be able to wave their magic SEO wand, and get you placed in the top of all the major search engines. The truth is that SEO is more like playing Blackjack, than an instant purchase with your credit card. Sure, there are probably lots of things that a good SEO firm can do to increase your rankings in search engines. But when it comes right down to it, search engine optimization is like playing Blackjack, in that you can’t guarantee someone to hit it big at the tables, but you can probably show them some things to increase their chances of it.
What if I were to tell you that I could get you into the #1 spot in Google for your keyword phrase? How do you know that 10 other SEO companies out there are not telling their client the same thing? In fact, that is more than just a real possibility. What happens to 10 of the 11 websites that were guaranteed to get the first spot? Well, they don’t get it. They may not even get the first 5 pages of results. My point is that unless your business is the only one of its kind in the world, other websites are in direct competition with you on the Internet, and not everyone can be ranked first.
Search engine optimization is about being unique. In this day when the World Wide Web is growing by leaps and bounds daily, it is very difficult to offer something that is unique, and I am not just talking about the product you’re selling. I am talking about offering the web community a complete website that is not just a copy of someone else’s. A website that has good and unique content, that is updated and changes regularly. If your website is all about selling “Green Squares,” and there are a thousand other sites offering the same thing, how are you going to offer up something that search engines are going to find unique? It is back to finding your niche, and updating the information about your niche frequently.
Someone once ask me, what I would charge them to optimize their website. My answer was “For how long?” they sent me an email back that just said, “I don’t understand. I just want you to optimize it and then leave me alone.” Okay then, I can do that. But, you’re not going to be happy with the results. Sure, I can jump in and do some work on your website. You might even hit the top 20 results in a couple of months. However, you won’t stay there. In a short time, you will be just about back to where you were. Good SEO means constant work. It means watching the competition, and keeping up. If you are #1 right now, the odds are stacked against you to stay there. Any other company that wants your spot will be doing what they can to bump you down.
Good search engine optimization is a partnership between your you and your SEO firm. It means long hours of research for your SEO Company, and training for you. Part of being good at SEO, is training the company you are working for to keep their ranking. If the content on your site needs to change and update, who is going to write that content? Me? I don’t know anything about selling squares, and I really don’t want to learn. A good SEO firm can guide you in what type of content to use, and where to place it, and what keywords or phrases to use, but in the end, you get to do the work of typing it out.
So many companies out there are going to try to tell you that you will hit it big in Vegas the next trip. In the end, isn’t it really all about learning how to play, and how nice the dealer is to you when you get there? Getting higher rankings in search engines is really no different. It’s all about learning how to compete, staying in the game, and playing it until it’s time to go home.

Keyword Research Can Target Niche Markets Better And Make You More Money!!
by: Wade M. Thomas
Using keyword research can expand the reach and visibility of any business trying to do business on the internet. It is also one of the most under used techniques of driving internet traffic. Keyword research is also a necessity for search engine optimization and pay-per-click campaigns.
Keyword research doesn’t only help with search engine visibility, but it also can open your eyes, as an entrepreneur, of complimentary markets, products or services that you should be addressing. I’ve been able to find additional markets to promote as a compliment to my existing business. This allows me to make more money from each lead that I drive to my website.
There are basically 2 types of keyword research software: keyword suggestion tools and keyword analytical tools.
1. Keyword Suggestion Tools
ResultsGenerator.com is one of the best keyword research tools available on the internet. It combines the Yahoo / Overture Keyword Research Search Tool with the Keyword Bidding Tool on One Screen. It tells you how much it would cost to be number one in the Overture Pay Per Click Search Sites in the left hand screen, and in the right hand screen tells you how many times the keyword was searched for and the various other keywords that were searched containing that word.
The reason that I like and use ResultsGenerator.com so much, is because it’s FREE to use AND I can view 2 key ingredients to find and target niche markets better. If I see that a keyword is searched for a lot, then I will play with various versions of it to find those keywords that allow me to get the best number of clicks for the cheapest amount of money. Thus driving traffic to test sites in order to find out what my metrics are for my Google Adwords or Yahoo Overture Campaigns.
One of the best places to perform keyword research are the search engines themselves. I like using both Google.com and Yahoo.com I find that since Google cleans their search engine and takes longer to index websites, when I am dealing with instantly changing markets and information, I will rely on using Yahoo.com, MSN.com and Blogger.com.
2. Keyword Analytical Tools
There are also some Paid Keyword Research Tools that I use on a regular, almost daily basis. The most popular paid keyword research tool among search engine marketers is software called WordTracker.Com. Wordtracker’s Keyword Research Guide is a useful collection of tips and techniques from some of the most respected search marketing practitioners working today. At first, I wasn’t sure whether paying the money that I paid was worth it or not. So I started with a One Day Trial. That turned into years of membership now for me. I would not want to do business on the internet without WordTracker.
You need third-party keyword research tools and resources to build and expand keyword lists for search engine marketing (SEM). Some SEM and search engine optimization (SEO) agencies have keyword research tools available only to their clients. Extensive keyword research seeks to harmonize your keyword choices with the search terms most used by your targeted visitors.
What about SEO ( Search Engine Optimization ) ?
For best results, keyword research and analysis should be undertaken in consultation with an experienced search engine professional (SEP). They will help you to further use these tools to the deepest level possible in order to maximize your return on investment in pay per click advertising!! There are many things in life that you don’t try to do yourself, like being your own doctor when you are sick or being your own attorney when you are in trouble. SEO should be handled by the professionals.
Remember: Keyword research is an integral and extremely important part of your overall search engine optimization process.
Maximizing the use of keyword research and related tools will help you to:
- expand your visibility and revenue
- find you new and complimentary markets
- lower your keyword pay per click cost
- increase your bottom line profits per campaign
Take Action & get going over to www.ResultsGenerator.com to start your basic keyword research and see how easy, fun and profitable it can be!!

With so many people trying to make money on the web and so many products being sold with resell and master resell rights, it’s a wonder anyone can make any money at all at it!
Indeed, most people don’t.
Why?
Sometimes it’s because people get in on the tail end of the product being sold and start trying to resell it just as the original creator decides to start giving it away for free. Generally this is 3-4 months after the product debuts.
