If you can effectively create this reason, then it will be easier for you to campaign your products or services.

Nevertheless, having the right website design and the getting graphic designer is crucial in boosting the success of a business. Submit Articles - Where to Find Article Submission Sites?

Submit Articles - Where to Find Article Submission Sites?

 by: Richard Bean

You heard that articles are one of the best ways for your web site promotion. So, you written a few good, interesting and informative articles and now what? Off course, you need to submit your articles to free article directories, web sites which allow free article submission, and your articles will become visible to wide audience.

Off course, if you want the best results you need to submit them on many places. If you find a lot of good article sites, the more constant traffic you will receive. How to find where you can submit your article?

There is a several ways:

1. You can try with Google, Yahoo or some other search engine. If you type some general search term, like “article”, you will get about 847,000,000 results. There is no that much article directories. Most of the search results are completely irrelevant for you.

2. You can try with some more specific phrase. Most of article sites has “submit article” link. If you type “submit article” phrase to Google and search, you will get much better results. Now, there are “only” 3,920,000 search results. There is a problem because some web sites have “Add your article” link instead of “Submit Article” or some different phrase. It is very difficult to guess all that phrases and almost impossible to craw through a millions of Google search results.

3. The pretty good way is to follow what successful people do. Browse through www.articles.com, especially through categories that are interesting for you. Try to find articles with a lot of views and writers that are submitted a lot of articles. These writers are probably experts with a lot of experience and they know where to submit articles. How you will find out what they already know? Simply, copy caption of some their popular article, and paste it in Google phrase search. Google will return search results with sites that contain this article. :)

4. The third way is much better than first two, but it also has a lot of failings. Ideally, you need complete, correct and fresh information without loosing your time. There is a free article sites master list at http://www.beansoftware.com/Article-Sites-Master-List.aspx . The list is updated daily and contains not just URLs of article sites, but also Google Page Rank (importance of web page, used by Google to calculate a position in search results) and Alexa traffic information (popularity of web site).

How To Weather Google Algorithm Changes

If you spend much time reading the various webmaster forums, you’re no doubt well aware of the grief that many webmasters experience after seeing a Google algorithm change send their web pages sinking like a stone in the search results. But there are always other webmasters who do well with the changes, and many whose rankings are pretty much unaffected.

What allows some websites to weather frequent algo changes and even prosper while others are banished to the nether regions of the SERPS or banned altogether? In a word, moderation.

Type a brief paragraph or two and email it to your friends, colleagues, internet e-zines, newspapers and other media to drive massive traffic to your website. 4. Write an article. Write a article relevant to your website with useful information for anyone interested in the topic. On the concluding paragraph, mention your website in passing. This article works as an advertorial and doubles as a free promotion for your website.

5. Be friendly online.

You need to be friendly to other webmasters. Why, you ask? So they can link you immediately! Establish contacts and never tire of link requests and exchanges.

Keyword Research And Overture

Many of us who build websites get in the habit of using the Overture “Keyword Suggestion Tool” to do keyword research. It’s convenient, and one of the few remaining such tools that is free. Be careful, though, because there are four problems you may run into with it.

1. Singular and plural forms are lumped together. I once optimized a site for “mountain hiking” based on the search traffic indicated by Overture. I later discovered that over half of that traffic was actually for “mountains hiking.” Unfortunately, the search engines don’t lump singulars and plurals, so those searchers didn’t find their way to my site.

Pixel Advertising

Pixel Advertising

 by: Neville Ridley-Smith

What’s the latest way to promote your website? Pixel advertising!

A uni student in the UK, Alex Tew, decided he wanted to fund his way through university. So he came up with the idea of selling pixels via his website http://www.milliondollarhomepage.com/

No-one could have predicted the amazing results. Within the last month he has sold over $250,000 worth of pixels!

The rationale is actually quite sensible and relies on a catchy idea and viral marketing.

The goal of marketing is to get your product in front of as many eyeballs as possible. The Million Dollar Homepage succeeds at this admirably. People see the website and are so amazed at how ridiculous it is that they tell their friends about it either through online forums or email. The meme spreads and soon enough, the site is receiving a huge amount of traffic.

Now a virtuous circle ensues. Because the site is getting lots of traffic it makes the pixels even more valuable. Pay $100 for a square of pixels and you’ll instantly have your ad in front of many people. Thus more pixels are sold which leads to more amazement at how successful the site is which leads to even more publicity. And so it goes.

Anything successful is bound to have imitators and this case is no exception. Many other websites have sprung up selling pixels at different rates.

One interesting imitator http://www.mostexpensivepixelontheinternet.com/ takes the idea to its logical conclusion. How much are people prepared to pay for a single pixel? The site is auctioning off a single pixel, thus letting the market decide.

Is it worth it to advertise on the Million Dollar Homepage? The case study available on the site seems to suggest it is.

Will it be long lasting or just a fad? At this point in time, it seems like pixel advertising is here to stay.
