7 Secrets for Pay-Per-Click Success

"Pay-for-Performance" or "Pay-per-Click" Internet advertising is making big waves lately, and the two biggest players are Google and Overture, which was recently purchased by Yahoo. Microsoft has since joined the fray with MSN Search and there are numerous other fish (albeit tadpoles) in the pond.

When it comes to promotion, the advantages of internet advertising over traditional print advertising can be summed up with the following acronym-rich equation: CPC - CPM = PPC. That’s CMO-speak for expressing how much more cost effective cost-per-conversion analysis is to cost-per-thousand analysis.

Can You Provide an Internet Advertising Solution?

This year, 2005, will see the demise of some well known Network Marketing businesses. Spam laws, spam-traps, filtering and useless leads, will all be a contributing factor. The age of mailing prospects is all but dead and buried.

Now a marketer can’t even translate his own description of a business opening without disguising the words with spaces or characters that have no relevance to the English language.

As an e-mail to a colleague read;

A Single Email Is Never Enough

"Repetition is the key to advertising (marketing)". Those words were said by a friend of mine, Jason Olson, back in his days of selling radio and direct mail ads.

Jason, now the owner of Ultimate Web Designing (http://www.ultimatewebdesigning.com), said that a particular business owner was willing to buy a single month of advertising to see if it would be cost effective to do a full ad campaign. Jason told him that the consumer needs to be "hit" with the marketing message repeatedly in order for them to take in the message, understand it, and take action.

Link To Get Traffic - Not Search Engine Rankings!

There have been a lot of changes on the web since I wrote the first edition of “Power Linking Your Way to 1 Million Hits” in 2002. Back then I told everyone that the only thing that will never change, despite search engine shake-ups and search technology improvements, is that links will always be the most important part of any website promotion campaign.

In fact, the people best able to withstand major changes and shifts in the search engines that affect their rankings are the people who have a broad, multi-faceted marketing campaign.

How to Write Great Testimonials and Why it Can Increase Your Profits Incredibly!

Everyone likes to read or get a referral about something they are considering buying. It helps overcome that fear of mistrust. Do you know how to get over that fear of mistrust with your visitors on your website?

Use great testimonials of your product. Its like the friend who recommends a certain dentist, doctor or plumber. Is This A ?DMOZ Killer? In The Making?

Is building a Human-Edited Fully "Democratic" Search Directory Possible?

The independent creators of the non-profit "BuildtheHive" (www.BuildtheHive.com) think so, and I think they’re on to something. Here’s why:

As a webmaster, I’ve long been frustrated by a certain human-edited directory (and you know who I mean) that has inexplicably refused entry of some of my clients, while accepting others without a second glance.

The problem (as I see it) is the same thing that makes these resource potentially great ? human editors.

The Power Of Giving

1.Why give away what you could sell?

That’s a fair enough sort of question. If you write an
ebook or report then surely you should be paid for your
sharing your knowledge with others.

But if you put a price on your work, especially if you are
not yet recognized as an expert in your field, you will
probably find your work being overlooked.

To Get Your Email To Stand Out From All The Junk

We know that email marketing is a cheap method to reach our customers, prospects and subscribers. However, the increasing amount of unsolicited commercial email is clogging up the inboxes of everyone.

So how do you improve the chances of making your email stand out from junk mail? (And I’m assuming you’re not sending out unsolicited email. If you are, shame on you.)

First, you want to make it easy for your subscriber or prospect to quickly identify that it’s from someone they know — "you."
