There are plenty of free tools online for marketing. And many will get you sign ups and sales. This report is not a commentary on the quality of all free marketing programs. We agree some do work. This report provides an alternative to the “long term” usage requirement necessary in order to find the free “working” programs. It’s purpose also is to help eliminate the “seeming” reluctance of free signups to upgrade. It is a way to virally market and to help eliminate long waiting periods when trying to get sales while using free marketing tools found online.

If you’re in business and use email, you’ve likely learned to KISS (keep it short & simple). However many people still think that writing an email should be like writing a letter to Aunt Sally. Letters are traditionally long and detailed. With email, however, you need to be laser-like, or risk losing your reader half-way through the first paragraph.

If Howard Dean’s failed political campaign accomplished anything, I would say that it brought to the mainstream the use of something called a weblog or "blog" as it known in cyberspace.
A blog is really nothing more than a diary uploaded to the Internet and until about the last 12 months was the realm of the individual who saw it as a way to publish there random (and sometimes disturbed) thoughts. The great thing about weblogs, and the growing set of software that is being created to publish them, is that they are a tremendous business tool.

Create a directory of web sites on a specific topic. Give people the option of adding the directory to their web site by linking to it. Put your business advertisement at the top of the director’s home page. This technique will get lots of people to link to your web site and give you free advertising.

As a matter of fact, I recommend NOT wasting money on pay inclusion in most cases because it doesn’t offer enough of an advantage (and many times the fees give you absolutely no advantage - the only exception are the few sites that guarantee placement within a specific timeline). Focus your online marketing and gain positive and targeted traffic without paying out for “expedited listings” or “submission software.”
Submission software can appear to save time and effort, but in all reality, it doesn’t…

When doing Pay Per Click Advertising you’ll often see “Bid Gaps” emerge among the cost per clicks of the keywords you’re bidding on. For example, the top three positions for the keyword “Mortgage” may be listed as:
Position # 1 $1.00
Position # 2 $.79
Position # 3 $.78
In this example the advertiser in the #1 position is overpaying for their traffic. They could lower their bid to $.80 and still maintain their #1 position, while saving $.20 on each click.
