Blogging software is really a simple Content Management System (CMS) that easily adds new pages and integrates them into your site’s navigational structure and linkage.
Blogs and blog posts are naturally search engine friendly because they are text-rich, link-rich, frequently-updated webpages that use stylesheets or CSS, and have very little extraneous HTML.
Optimizing a blog is very similar to optimizing a website, and optimizing a blog post similar to optimizing a web page.

Pay-per-click (PPC) advertising is when an advertiser pays for each qualified click that sends a search engine user (i.e., visitor) to the advertiser’s web page. PPC requires the advertiser to bid on key words or key word phrases chosen by the advertiser. There are many PPC advertising services available to choose from. Google AdWords and Overture are probably the two most popular in use today.

If you are a REALTOR focused on residential sales who distributes a monthly email newsletter, ask yourself: "Is my distribution list growing?" And more importantly, "Is my newsletter accomplishing what I wish it to?"
You already recognize that an email newsletter is an effective marketing tool to help to increase sales. Regular communication with clients and prospects is essential to increase your revenues over time. But if the results are not living up to your expectations, step back and ask yourself, "How can I improve my newsletter to increase its readership and drive more sales?" Perhaps you need to make your content more compelling or to use your newsletter in a more engineered fashion.

1. Add a message board to your web site. People will visit your web site to ask questions and answer other people’s questions.
2. Add a directory of web site links to your web site. People will visit your web site to find related web site links for the topic they’re interested in.
3. Add an article section to your web site. People will visit your web site to read and learn new info related to their interests.

Consider for a minute my son’s website for grass mowing, grassattacker.com. Obviously this is a very small target group in our town, but think of the ideas and marketing opportunities that could come from something like this. By creating a website for ‘my client’, I’ve not only provided a way for him to increase revenue, but in this case I’ll be along with him (cutting grass all summer?!), and I’ll have the opportunity to market my skills in a non-intrusive manner to obviously web-savvy people.
