It’s happening. Again.
The Internet marketing ‘game’ is rapidly changing… again.
Email marketing is under attack like never before…
Pending legislation. Spam filters. Email overload.
Internet users’ inboxes are full. They are loaded with junk and they are tired of the hassle. Opt-in rates are on the decline — and they will continue to fall.
So the cries are coming from many Internet marketing circles…

It even surprised me.
Yes, even though I have been pointing out the possibility since July, and was forced by demand to release my study findings before my book was even half finished, I was shocked when I heard the news as well.
You see, I was sure we were at least a year off from this glorious day.

Do you have a website or are you planning on creating a website in the near future? You owe it to yourself to at least learn some basic HTML (HyperText Mark-up Language). Even if someone else is creating and maintaining your website there are some basics you should know. What if that person is not available and you need to add or make changes to your website? I’ve always believed if you have a business, computer, website, or whatever, you need to know how it works. Don’t depend on someone else. I couldn’t agree more with the headline of this article and it’s one I’m afraid I can’t take credit for. I found this line in Paco Underhill’s book, Why We Buy – The Science Of Shopping, and found myself comparing many of the things he has measured in the retail world to the tests I’ve done with online, visitor-based activity. The conversion rate on a website is easy to measure. Unfortunately, businesses too busy concentrating on their bottom line most often overlook it. The point of this article is to define what a conversion rate is and show you how you can begin to start improving your own website’s conversion rate and therefore your bottom line. At the same time, I will relate my observations to Paco’s on offline retailing.

The challenge lies in driving traffic to these sites. One way to drive traffic is through search engine optimization, whereby you create a website that ranks highly on the search engines and receive "free" traffic. Or, if you already have an existing well-ranked site, you can create new pages linked from your existing pages. A second way to drive traffic is through online advertising.

Have you ever wondered how some websites get so many hits, while you struggle to get even 10 a day? I used to think about this all the time when I first started my website. I looked all over the internet for ideas to promote my website, and I found that they all had one major thing in common. They all required that you spend money! Now I don’t know about your, but I don’t have money to spend, so I continued searching for a way to get people to see what I had to offer and eventually I stumbled across a very powerful tool that consists of two words.
