I recently read the case study conducted by Pheedo, an advertising company on the use of RSS Feeds advertising versus email advertising.
The difference in results were staggering.
Pheedo ran the campaign for 6 weeks and from their results, RSS feeds outperformed the best click through rate in email by over 26% as compared to the industry average of 8.7%.

I just had to get into the fray! I’m new to this cyberworld you see and I was surfing the web this morning in search of ways to drum up some traffic for my website. I came across a site called freeviral.com which said it was free! And would work to drive lots of traffic to your site. So I followed the instructions on the page and Lo and Behold I discovered it was just a front for a site called marketit.com owned by one of the so called maketing gurus.

Let’s say you are writing a web site to sell beach homes on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada.
You look for some good keywords and come up with ‘Vancouver Island waterfront property’. So you use that term in your title, headline and here and there in the text.
So far, so good. The phrase will help you with your rankings. And the use of the phrase on the first screen of your home page will let your visitors know they are in the right place.

Just another trend or something else?
Trends happen overnight! Some catch on fast and explode very quickly into our every day use.
Most of these trends you can ignore as silly folly or at the most fine amusement. Anyone remember pet rocks, Farrah Fawcett hairdos, or last year’s killer fashions?
Others, you have to pay more attention to: cell phones, digital cameras, mini-sites, optin lists, or email.
